Karjat is a very beautiful town in Raigad District, Maharashtra State, in India. It is very well known for its greenary, especially in Monsoon. It is well connected to cities like Mumbai and Pune, and has very good transportation means. It is the junction station on Central Railway and all trains passing from Mumbai (CST) to south via Pune stops here. It also has good frequency of local trains that connect it to Mumbai and Khopoli. Other means such as State Transport Buses, minidors, rickshaws and private travels, are also available easily.
