Vada Pav

Karjat is very well known in Maharashtra for its famous cuisine, Vada Pav. Though you can get vada pav everywhere in Maharashtra, you can never get the best one like that in Karjat. People from central railway trains rush to get it, while train waits for just 5 min. You also get it on railway station, at very well known Diwadkar's stalls. But many people, like a tradition, like it from the shops in Karjat Bazar. So they rush heavily, to buy it and catch the train back.
  There are many famous vada pav stalls and shops in Karjat, where you always find a crowd and a heavy crowd, at local trains and express times. School and college students also add in it during daytime, when they have recess break. Karjat has a weekly bazar known as Friday bazar, where many people from nearby villages come for shopping. But Vada pav shop and stall owners effectively handle this large crowd, which is very much eager to taste vada pav or pack it and take home for the family.
