Kapaleshwar Mandir is on the straight way out the Karjat station and just 2-3 min from station. The temple is at Tilak Chowk near the Post Office and Karjat Municipal Council.
It is the temple of God Shankar. Temple has one shivlinga, nandi in front and other small temples of Ganpati, Durga and Vitthal-Rukmini within main temple.
The temple has a registered committee and is very well involved in social activities throughout the year. The committee celebrates various festivals like Ganesh Chaturthy, Mahashivratri and all festivals in the Marathi month of Shravan.
Recently, the temple is being renewed and all Karjatkars are happily aiding for that.
